Why Do Golfers Slice the Ball?

Almost every golfer has met the dreaded slice.
You aim down the fairway.
You make what feels like a perfectly respectable swing.
And then the ball begins its migration toward another ZIP code.
So before I give you my answer, I want yours.
QUESTION #1: What causes the slice?
A. An open clubface
B. An out-to-in swing path
C. Grip or setup
D. Swinging too hard
E. A combination of the above
F. Something else entirely
But here’s the more interesting question:
QUESTION #2: How would YOU cure it?
If a golfer came to you tomorrow and said:
“Frank, I can’t stop slicing the golf ball.”
What would you have them change first?
Grip?
Clubface?
Swing path?
Alignment?
Tempo?
Something completely different?
Put your diagnosis AND your cure in the comments.
There are golfers who know what they do wrong.
There are golfers who know how to fix it.
And sometimes those are two very different things.
I’ll share my Fairway Lab diagnosis after I hear yours.
